Blessings Farm was founded in 2003 by John (Jack) and Virginia (Lois) Scott. Perhaps Jack or Lois can give you the answer to this question; what came first, the love of the horse or the love of the ministry? Jack and Lois have witnessed first hand the sadness of neglected and underprivileged children. Their heart is to minister to these children and build them a safe and secure facility to nurture a love of horses.

With the help of volunteers and donations, Jack has been able to build a barn to house the horses as well as an indoor arena for all-weather riding.  This is just the beginning of Jack and Lois' mission.

This is the barn and arena that Jack built with trees from his land.

Jack hasn't stopped here.  He has plans to build an observation room off of the indoor arena for the families to watch their children learn to ride.  His vision is endless.

Today, Blessings Farm ministry has some lofty goals. We currently have 9 horses on the property and willingly acquire more as the opportunities come. There have been successful Beginning Horsemanship courses completed by students who have found a confidence that was once hidden, a love and appreciation for horses that has flowed freely and a desire to learn more.

Our lessons are currently given in a small group setting and our classes are appropriately called “Love At First Sight”. This service, this gift of being able to give in this way has just been an incredible journey. The need to reach out to our community in this way is huge and so well received. We offer this gift without charge. Only through the absolute dedication of volunteers, donations, the perseverance of the founders and the provisions of our Provider is all this possible. Do miracles happen? Oh … yes they do!
