Being
a new and growing organization, it hasn’t taken us long at all to realize
the immense value and generosity of volunteers; people willing to not only
give of their talents, but give what is most valuable, their time. Without
volunteers, those “lofty goals” would become heavy burdens. Currently,
we see those goals as works in progress and attainable as we “press
on”
If you are interested in serving, we will make a place for you! We are in need of volunteers in many areas including:
• Licensed Riding Instructors
• Events Coordination
• Chaperone/Drivers
• Barn work
• Riding Instructors
• Recruiting other volunteers and students
• Fundraising
• Newsletter production/PR
• Administrative duties … just to name a few
If you have other ideas or talents and are called to this ministry, please contact us.
You might think of volunteer opportunities here at Blessings Farm in these categories:
• General/Flexible
A flexible volunteer will help accomplish any number of things; from mucking, cleaning, clearing land and assisting in lessons. These are just a few of the many areas where contributions are valued. These volunteers will participate as often as their busy schedule allows, perhaps once a month or even less. We appreciate any amount of time given.
• Projects
We do have many projects currently in the works. Some folks may like to take a project, small or large, and see it through from beginning to end. I’m sure we can arrange that.
• Staff
Individuals who are able to maintain their generous commitment continuously, even daily or weekly, onsite or off-site, serving the ministry are considered Staff. Although unpaid, they are eligible to take part in educational and recreational opportunities as they become available.
• Off-site Volunteers
Many of our needs are met by volunteers who serve from the comfort of their own home rather than coming to the farm. Many of our administrative duties are provided for in this way. This type of volunteer could help in areas of fundraising or simply spreading the word about the ministry, just to name some ideas. What other ideas do you have?
• Professionals
The list of skilled professionals where the ministry could benefit and even
burst from it’s seems is really without limit. We have just begun skilled builders, equipment drivers, riding instructors, equine healthcare
providers, youth specialists; just to name a few. We would love to hear what
your special skill is. We are sure you will fit right in!
